Senior Engineer – Substation Secondary Systems (w/m/d)

Deine Tätigkeiten & Verantwortlichkeiten

Overall technical responsibility for secondary technology in substation projects (protection, control, automation, communication)
Creation, testing, and approval of concepts and specifications (protection concept, interlocking, measurement and metering concept, communication architecture)
Engineering of protection and control technology, including device selection, parameterization strategy, and signal/data point definition
Planning and coordination of IEC 61850 systems (SCL, GOOSE, MMS, time synchronization, network design)
Creation/review of engineering documents (circuit diagrams, functional descriptions, I/O lists, terminal diagrams, test specifications)
Technical coordination with customers, EPCs, grid operators, OEMs, and internal departments (primary technology, SCADA, commissioning)
Support and technical guidance for FAT/SAT, commissioning, and protection testing (including fault analysis and optimization)
Ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines (including IEC 61850, IEC 60255, VDE/grid operator specifications)

Deine Qualifikation

Degree/technician in electrical engineering, energy technology, automation technology, or comparable
Several years of experience in secondary technology engineering
Very good knowledge of protection technology (ANSI/IEC protection functions) and station automation
In-depth experience with IEC 61850 (SCL, GOOSE, network/time sync) and digital station concepts
Structured, quality-oriented approach to work and strong communication skills in project and stakeholder management
You are results- and solution-oriented and can react flexibly to changing circumstances
Good knowledge of German and English
