Junior Engineer – Substation Secondary Systems (w/m/d)

Deine Tätigkeiten & Verantwortlichkeiten

  • Overall technical responsibility for secondary technology in substation projects (protection, control, automation, communication)
  • Collaboration in the engineering of secondary technology for substation projects (protection, control, command, and automation technology)
  • Support in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (e.g., circuit diagrams, I/O lists, terminal diagrams, functional descriptions)
  • Collaboration in the design of protection and control technology components, including signal and interface clarification
  • Support in the implementation of communication and automation concepts (e.g., IEC 61850, telecontrol technology)
  • Technical coordination within the project team with related departments (primary technology, SCADA, commissioning, project management)
  • Collaboration in tests and acceptance procedures (FAT/SAT) and support in commissioning (documentation, checklists, error analysis)
  • Application of relevant standards and guidelines under supervision (e.g., IEC 61850, IEC 60255, VDE/grid operator requirements)
  • Maintenance and structured filing of project documentation, including as-built updates

Deine Qualifikation

  • Degree/technician in electrical engineering, energy technology, automation technology, or comparable
  • Initial practical experience through working student positions, internships, or career entry in the field of energy systems/grid technology is an advantage
  • Interest in protection technology, station automation, and secondary systems in substations
  • Basic knowledge of communication/control technology (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, or similar) is an advantage
  • Structured approach to work, willingness to learn, ability to work in a team, and clear communication skills
  • Good German and English skills
