Senior Engineer – Substation Primary Systems (w/m/d)

Deine Tätigkeiten & Verantwortlichkeiten

Overall technical responsibility for secondary technology in substation projects (protection, control, automation, communication)
Technical responsibility for primary technology in substation projects (concept, design, specification, and implementation)
Creation and review of primary technology concepts (single line diagrams, operating concepts, system configuration, redundancies)
Design and specification of components such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, measuring transformers, surge arresters, busbars, cable systems
Technical clarification of interfaces to secondary technology, protection/control technology, construction/civil engineering, grid connection, and commissioning
Creation/review of technical tender documents, supplier specifications, and evaluation matrices
Conducting technical supplier clarifications, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and providing support during assembly/commissioning phases
Ensuring compliance with standards and grid operator requirements (including IEC, VDE, DIN, TAB/grid operator requirements)
Supporting technical project management in terms of schedule, cost, and quality control from a primary technology perspective

Deine Qualifikation

Degree/technician in electrical engineering, energy technology, automation technology, or comparable field
Several years of experience in the engineering of substations or high/medium-voltage systems
Good knowledge of primary technology and typical substation components and configurations
Experience with specifications, supplier management, FAT/SAT, and technical reviews
Structured, responsible way of working, strong communication skills, and confident manner when dealing with customers/network operators/suppliers
You are results- and solution-oriented and can react flexibly to changing circumstances
Good knowledge of German and English
